Online typing race
Race other typists live, no sign-up needed. Every racer's car moves as they type, and you can see exactly which word each rival is on.
Three ways to race
- Real people Matched with typists near your speed. If nobody is around, a practice bot races you.
- Bots at your level Pick a bot speed (20, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 180, 220, 260, 320 WPM) and a length. Win, then move up a level.
- Friends Create a private room and share its code. Up to six racers, rematch with one click.
What makes it fun
Type ten words in a row without a mistake and your car lights up with a nitro trail. Races earn XP that unlocks new vehicles, and a win ends in confetti. Choose the text type: quotes, common words, numbers, code, marathon, instadeath (one mistake and you are out) or steno.
Prefer to race yourself? Race a ghost of your own best run, or take the typing test.
Can I race without an account?
Yes. You race as a guest straight away and can pick your own racing name. Sign in only to save your races and appear on the leaderboards.
How fast are the bots?
You choose: from 20 WPM up to 320 WPM. A bot types at exactly the speed you pick, so beating it means you really typed faster.
How many people can race together?
Up to six in one race. Public races group typists within about 20 WPM of each other, and private rooms let you race up to five friends with a code.
How long is a race?
Public races use a quote or a set of words. Against a bot you choose the length: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes.
