Free typing certificate
Pass a 5 or 10-minute typing exam and get a certificate with your name, net speed and accuracy, and an ID that anyone, such as an employer, can check online.
How to get it
- Sign in, open the typing exam and choose an exam: Standard (40 net WPM), Entry level (30), Advanced (60) or a 10-minute government-exam style test (35).
- Type the passage until the time is up. Net speed and accuracy must both reach the pass mark.
- Print your certificate, save it as a PDF, share its link or add it to LinkedIn.
How the exam is scored
The standard way: every 5 characters (spaces included) count as one word. Gross speed is words typed per minute; net speed takes off one word for every word left wrong, per minute. Accuracy counts every key you pressed, including mistakes you fixed with Backspace.
Why it can be trusted
The passage is chosen by TypingStreak, different for every exam. The server scores the exam itself from your keystrokes, and pasted or automated typing does not pass. Each certificate has an ID; its page shows the name and result exactly as issued.
What it is not
Exams are taken online without supervision, so a certificate shows the result is genuine, not who typed it. It is not an accredited, official or government qualification. Some employers and public offices only accept supervised tests: check what yours asks for. Practise first with the lessons and speed test.
